Our passion as lovers of God and stewards of His House is to establish an atmosphere which honors, encourages, and empowers individuals to passionately pursue the fullness of God for their life according to how God has intentionally and wonderfully made everyone for His glory. The Rock is a community of believers we proudly call our home and life’s work. As a congregation of individuals, we are the church, and so, as we believe for each of you, we are believing for the church. As our church family grows and each member is released into their calling, it is with joy that we believe greatly for the specific expression and function of His glory, which the Lord has given The Rock to be in this season.
As elders, we serve as a council to the Pastors and Church in the areas of finances, facility management, and pastoral care. We seek to be an expression of God the Father’s heart as well as the Pastors’ hearts by caring for the congregation as shepherds. As extensions of the Pastor’s authority, we are blessed and honored to support the vision and mission of The Rock family.
We seek to demonstrate what it is to partner with God through prayer and intercession. Prayer is a tool of transformation because when we enter into prayer, we enter into a conversation with the King above all kings. As we do so, we are committed to joining our hearts with our loving Father’s heart and attitude towards ourselves and others by petitioning and interceding (standing in the gap) for those around us to know Christ and walk in their identity. We want to pray for you and with you!
We strive to help our students build a foundation rich in prayer, worship, and study of the scriptures. Everything we teach and do is designed to be fun, fruitful, and practically applicable to their daily lives beyond the walls of our classrooms. We desire that every student would not only have a knowledge of God, but a relationship with the real and living God. We desire to encourage and empower our students to walk in their identity with confidence by teaching them who their heavenly Father is and, as a result, who they are as sons and daughters of our Father. These children are our next great leaders - our next great revivalists. By investing in our children, we are not just impacting our city, we are impacting our future.
